Technical Tips
Is your System running slow? Maybe it's time to Defragment your disk drives?
Are you prepared for a loss of data caused by an earthquake, fire, theft, vandalism, tsunami, fire sprinker accident or any of the other wonderful things that can go wrong?

Do you forget to take home those backup tapes and leave them sitting on top of the server?

Make Backup easier and more secure.  Save your data to a remote server.

Saving Financial or Other Large Reports to Your Server or CD - Don't waste paper printing reports that you may not need for a long while.
Remote Printing Problem? - If you receive the message "Print Request Cancelled" while attempting to preview or print while connected to the system via Remote Desktop, the problem may be that the printer name is too long.  The system cannot use printer names that are more than 30 characters long.  Remember that when printing remotely, Windows adds the location of the printer as a prefix to the printer name.  This further limits the number of characters that can be used in the printer name. Your network administrator must make the name of the printer as short as possible (ex. Jims HP 1100).

You can get around this if you set the printer in PAS to use the default printer.  Pull down 'File', click on 'Printer Setup' to display the Windows printer dialog and then click 'Cancel'.  This will set your selected printer to *Default and will bypass the actual name of the printer.

If neither of these provide a solution, contact your network administrator for assistance.
