UPS Fuel Surcharge

If you are shipping via UPS ground or air services, charge your customers for freight, and are using the automatic UPS Freight Charge Calculation while invoicing in the Pacific Apparel System, you must maintain the UPS Fuel Surcharge rates.

These rates are revised every month or two and are published on the UPS website.

There are two rates that we use in the System: ground and air. These rates are entered on System Tables.

Pull down Master Files
Click on System Tables
Pull down Select Types M-Z
Click on UPS Information

Two entries are required: SURGND and SURAIR as shown below.

If these two entries are on the list, double-click the entry to be changed and enter the new rate in the Description column as shown above.

If the entries are not there, enter SURGND in Data and the rate in Description. Click Update/Add. Repeat for SURAIR.

Be sure to check the UPS web site periodically for changes in the rates.
